5/4/2020 Primary Election Day of June 2nd, 2020

According to the Governor today (May 4,2020), The Primary Election Day of June 2nd is scheduled and will be honored. Unless the Perry County Commissioners change the location of voting, our church will still be used for the election. This does not violate State Law, even though our churches are all closed. There is an encouragement that people vote by mail, but the voting stations will be opened and all of the safety practices that are in place will be observed, including safe distancing, masks, sanitizer. All voters are encouraged to wear a mask when coming to the voting station.

Snyder's Church, in compliance with United Methodist policies, has passed the Snyder's Church Safe Sanctuary Policy. Our children are our greatest asset. They must be protected. This policy will be enforced to protect our children and ourselves. The main elements to remember for thi policy are the following : * At least two non-related adults supervising children- related activities *All adults in contact with children must have background checks completed *All background checks will be confidential and locked in a secure area *Only a few church individuals will have access to these background checks *background checks will be funded by the church There is nothing to fear from this policy.
